Ok I got in touch with the new duping/printing guy that Ed found, and his quote was almost half of what the original guy was going to be charging. I have decided to get as many sets made as possible, up to about 100.
I am shooting for the project to go into duplication next week. Turnaround...
Argh, I've got a very irritating problem. Check this out:

Ignoring the ugly scratch track in the background, and the stupid reverb (oops forgot to take it out), tell me what the HELL that is?
There is a definate distortion on the "h" of...
Damn! I totally recommend Travellers Express MoneyGram money orders. I submitted my request for refund on January 13th, and got a check YESTERDAY!
This means that we're back on track. Last night I burned the second release candidate CD set and am playing with it here at work. Found some...
So for the longest time I thought the V67 had a weird sort of crappy sound to it that was hard to describe. I use it primarily for vocals, and I typically sing facing out of a corner in a room with a slight cathedral ceiling. The room is a bedroom and has all the normal bedroom stuff, but the...
The comp CD is still finished. There will be no more work on it in its current form. The mac support has been dropped since I don't have the equipment to work on it, and nobody who's paid for the thing uses a mac as their primary machine (that I'm aware of). No biggie.
The CD is officially...
I know how ridiculous this kind of question is, but I'm not expecting a specific answer, and I'm not asking it so that I can try to get the same sound with my cheap gear and lack of experience.
Over the past year or so I've become a big Radiohead fan, and I've been working backwards through...
The playback VU meters do not reliably show you peaks. It seems to me like they simply sample at some constant rate, so the peaks you see are dependent upon where you start playback.
I'm going to look for an alternative peak meter...if I can't find one I'm going to look for alternative...
This is just a reminder that while Intel is capable of making the finest chipsets around, it almost always falls short when trying to implement the chipset on its *own* motherboards. I have never had an Intel motherboard that worked nicely and didn't require a lot of extra work on my part...
Hehe. I asked Dragon if I could moderate this forum and he agreed. Now bow before me, my pretty little sheep!
But seriously, I will only:
1) Lock spam & inappropriate crossposts. (I will never delete)
2) Move "listen to what I recorded with n-Track" posts to the MP3 clinic. I know that...
Welp, I got it to work. I used a VSTi sampler in conjunction with the n-Track piano roll editor to program some drums.
Yes, it is possible to do drums right in n-Track using this method. However, the n-Track piano roll editor is a piece of crap when it comes to this sort of thing. It has all...
Since it has become common practice to recommend products that don't exist yet, either somebody's got a time machine or it's a lot of BS.
Since it's bullshit, and I too am a bullshiter, I'd like to go on record officially here:
The B1 is a crappy microphone and anybody who spends their future...
:) Got a quick question. Somebody asked me to check out his acoustic guitar and see if it would still be playabyle. It's an old Kalamazoo, so probably from the 60's or earlier I'd imagine. Not extremely well constructed, but doable.
Anyhow, it's been stored with the strings on for who knows...
Not all of this fits into this forum, but here goes.
I got this idea see, to sell my dusty old Fostex X-26 4 track machine and buy a portable minidisc recorder (walkman style). I want to use it to gather samples from the wild with reasonable quality. By reasonable quality, I mean I'd like the...
The CD is now officially with "Brad's Friend". Heh. It turns out that the stinkin' thing would NOT display correctly on a macintosh, and I couldn't figure out why (not having a mac doesn't help).
So, Brad had his buddy the mac guru take a look at the CD, and he said that everything *appeared*...
Looking for a Burr-Brown (now Texas Instruments I think) opamp #OPA2132. I can find specs and crap all over the place, but no place to purchase.
Anyone?
Slackmaster 2000
P.S. small quantity: I need 3.
Looking for answers & opinions.
I need some cable, and am looking at purchasing either canare or mogami in bulk. I need both microphone cable and something to make line level runs.
1) To anyone who's actually USED both Mogami Quad W2534 & Canare Star Quad, what do you think? The canare i can...
The old hr_comp_cd email address was eaten by hotmail. If you sent a message to it and didn't get a reply, then don't ever expect one :)
From now on, please send comp cd emails to compcd@slackmaster2000.com , or you can click the little email button in my profile.

Hey guys, I'll post some killer advice if somebody can get me some porn!
I'm looking for something with donkeys or snakes but please no midgets. I'm also into fisting...basically anything with ultramega penetration. Fat, ugly, gay, interracial is all fine. Pissing is cool but please no...
Here's what I want to do:
1) I want a keyboard that I can use to trigger samples/modules on my DAW via MIDI. I am not looking for a synth, although something with some cheapo sounds built in would be nice for just chugging out patterns & practicing. Point being, sound synthesis quality can...
