    I am doing some recording for my band...I think I need a hole in the front of my drummers kick drum head...what is the best way to make one of these?

    no monitors? next best thing?

    I don't have any mixing speakers...I do have some nice computer speakers with a sub woofer...is it better to mix with that, or some regular computer speakers? or the last choice would be to use my yamaha powered mixer and some mackie speakers. Thoughts?

    drum bleeding

    I am using an 8 mic technique on the drums for this recording session...this is the first time I have been able to use 8 seperate tracks for it. My question is this... there is going to be bleed through no matter what you do...in fact, I can hear a BUNCH of other drums through the kick mic...

    When recording drums, do you usually pan using the audienence perspective, or the drummers?

    punch in?

    I am not sure if that is the right term...but in CEP I could highlight the section I wanted to record over, play before that but it would only record over what I had highlighted. This was a GREAT feature for recording...can Cubase SX do anything like that? Thanks for your help...I am recording...

    Why won't Cubase SX find my presets in Direct X programs? It just says init 1, init 2, etc.

    Studio Projects B3

    Ok, I have a Presonus Firestation, a mackie 1604 VLZ, a couple of sure SM58's, and some generic drum mics. I would like to get a decent vocal mic. The B3 seems perfect! My question is though...can it also be used as a kick drum mic? Also...what paterns are good for what? Thanks!
