I just returned my Focusrite Saffire to GC (it was kinda unstable for me, rebooted itself outta no where alot)...found out they had a EMU 1820 for $300 on closeout because they said its about to be discontinued....I think its a GREAT value at $299.99...anyone interested may wanna call their Sam...

I'm gettin into fruityloops and I know I'm gonna need more than the included sounds so I was lookin at some plugins...Kontakt, Battery, Absynth...which ones the best for the money or is there a better one.

The question im asking is, for a beginner who is wanting to learn how to make beats, which would be the best/easiest route to go, nevermind the price tag differences. Give some reasoning behind your thoughts.

Basically I want to start learning how to make hip hop beats in fruityloops and I've heard the process can be alot easier if you have a midi controller? What midi controller do you guys recommend in the $200 range?

I got the Rode Nt1a and Focusrite Saffire. Was just wondering if anyone thought I could put out decent quality hip hop tracks with this setup to start with? I'll get monitors later right now I just have the Saffire wired to my stereo lol.

Has anyone had trouble installing the 2.0 drivers from the Focusrite website? My Saffire worked fine until I tried to install those... my computer wouldnt even recognize it anymore. Anytime I tried to reinstall the old drivers , the CD still wouldnt recognize the Saffire or finish the...
