Getting rid of these because I need the money. Both are in great working condition. Asking $400 for the Eureka since I only had it for a month and only $300 for the M-Audio 1814.
Presonus Eureka...
Right now I have the KRK RP5's and I just traded my AT4040 condenser for a KSM27 (second time i had this mic)...I like the ksm alot better on my voice. My tracks are sounding better already but I'm thinking I could get better sounding mixes with some better monitors. Maybe larger monitors...
Right now I have a AT4040 and AT2020 mic. These mics tend to have a slighly brighter sound than I'm looking for right now. I'm looking for a mic with a smoother sound. A smoother high end most likely and clear low end. The mic will be used for vocals only. Any recommendations?
I'm asking because I'm thinking about getting one. Right now I'm using a AT4040 mic on vocals and sometimes the lows can be slightly heavy and I believe its because of the regular mesh pop filter that I have. I know the 4040 mic is not a mic that is really heavy on the lows but I was wondering...
Wondering which of these entry level channel strips gives me the best bang for the buck recording just vocals? I'm most interested in the preamp section of the strip. Im going to be connecting to a M-Audio Firewire 1814 using a AT4040 mic..
Right now I have a At4040 mic and MAudio 1814 interface... I want to look into a decent channel strip to bypass the pres on the 1814 and compress on the way in...some channel strips I was lookin at are:
Price Limit $500
DBX 386
Joe Meek SixQ
Presonus Eureka
M-audio Tampa...
Anyone tried any...
Only used it for less than 2 months. Mint. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=020&item=300006308390&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1
Well I have gone through some microphones in the past few months such as (vocals only):
ADK A-51: I liked this one, warm and very smooth (love that)
Shure KSM27: I liked this one on my voice
Studio Projects B1: Didnt like this one, too thin sounding...
Rode NT1A: Hate this mic, WAY too harsh...
Just wondering because I have an apartment and wondering should I invest in some foam to put up to help stop some of the reverb on my vocals.... I might use the temp tabs if I do get some so I dont mess the walls up.
Ok, to keep a long story short, I used to have the Firebox interface to go along with my KSM27 microphone and I really liked the quality but had to sell my Firebox for other reasons. Couple months later I got a EMU 1820 interface for the mic and the quality isnt as good to me on the vocals...
Just wondering if anybody has tried it and if so on which mic? How do you like the sound...I'm thinking it would be a good upgrade to the preamps on my EMU 1820.
Im asking because I do have monster cables hooked up to my krk rp5 monitors and the sound is clear (was also clear on my generic cables from what i could hear). And I Was thinking about upgrading my generic xlr cable hooked up to my microphone to maybe some mogami or canare cables....would that...
