This happening may not mean the room is drying out. It could mean that there is a moisture/water trap behind those walls and you may be just drawing the water through the walls. If the room is actually drying out then the dehumidifier will collect less and less water. After 3 weeks of...
The humidifier filling up can only fill up if the moisture is there. So there you go.
I live in Ireland and know all about stone walls and damp.
Stone walls look great because they give us that feel of old. Stone was used in those days because it was free, usually a by product of removing...
Volcanic rock can be a varied mix of rocks from the pumice stone type you see on gas bbq's to anything more solid. All have differing water penetrable qualities.
So I imagine right next to the outside walls is earth/soil?
Then if that is the case you may first need to stop any damp penetration through the walls. This will mean a polythene damp course liner applied to the walls first, then you will need to build a 4x2 interior frame completely around...
Seriously :-)I do this all the time as does Holywood and anybody else who puts audio to video. I don't know anybody who uses the cameras audio unless the camera must cost tens of thousands.
I have no idea of how you use a drum hit so I think you may misunderstand. The clap or clapperboard is...
Before you start filming the video you stand in front of camera and clap your hands in front of camera. Best if you do it 3 times. That way you can match frame to sound peak.
Yeah it is a 90's sound. Can even see the video in my head. You either like it or you don't but still miles better than the stuff today.
Nothing wrong with the production. 99% of people wouldn't know this was produced by one man and his pc or an old large studio of that time.
I wouldn't...
Well I paid in your money Approx $60 for the amp and $70 for the mixer. I paid $70 for the desk mic when I could have used a cheaper one with the 44. Also I had the dbx in use for a time so that was $200. So you can see I think my money was better spent elsewhere, $400 worth!!!!
Windows...
I have had the 14 for over 2 years now so a mk1.
I used to have a dbx de-esser and a headphone amp in the system as well which meant a desk like spaghetti. But now just the 14, desk mic and mixer. I would still prefer just one unit though.
Thank you CoolCat.
To make my 'engineers' station I have an Audient 14 - Beringer mixer - Monacor PA Desk mic - Audio-Teknica M50 32ohm headphones and Beyerdynamics 770 pro 80ohms headphones.
I use the mixer with the desk mic to talk to the sound booth AT M50's.
I didnt know because I was...
What do you do with them Beaky? Edit or listen or?
I have Beyerdynamic 770 Pro 80ohms and Audio-Teknica AT M50x 32ohms. Both are really comfortable although the AT's a little quieter. Both are over $100 so not cheap. The AT's have really adjustable leads......short, long, curly.
What I would say on this is that computer chip prices have gone through the roof of late and all pc gear has rocketed in price. But I still think you could get a pc for recording at $700 but you do need at least 2 monitors and even basic ones will do. Under $100 ones are fine for this because...
Dave the message was that 'my processor cannot run Windows 11'. I hadnt connected it to the internet for almost 6 months and that was the warning after a Windows update. The pc was late 2014 and to be honest if it wasn't for 4k video I would still be using it for all.
On this Windows 11 stuff. My old pc isnt regularly connected to the internet and I use that for recording and my newer pc for video. I recently updated my old pc and Windows said it is not compatible with Windows 11. Do I need it connected to the internet and will it still do the business of...
