    Band name Issue

When I was 10 years old I was in a band that I gave a cool name to, we did perform publicly on two occasions and have photographic evidence to prove it. My question is: Do I own the rights to this name? Because I have recently discovered that there is a band currently on the scene that uses the...

    Any Producer you Want?

If you could have the choice of any producer for the wonderful songs you have created who would you choose? My choice would be Andy Wallace the man behind the desk for Jeff Buckley's awesome album 'Grace'. If it were still the 60's then obviously it would be George Martin.

Is anyone familiar with the late 60's Vox Viscount amp, what it sounds like, if it's a good amp for recording etc.. Thanks..

If this sounds ignorant, tell me.

As a financially challenged musician, I have yet to record a studio quality demo. The one time my band went into a professional studio to record the 'real' thing was back in 1993 and we fired our singer half way through the process so we were left with a lot of debt and great tracks with no...

Getting a record deal could ruin your passion!

I have read many articles about bands that have made it all the way. Most seem to state that once they have to make music for a living, that they need to find a different outlet for a hobby or to simply relax. Many take up fishing (Roger Daltrey and many more), Golf (Huey Lewis and many more)...

    Amplification Advice

I currently have a Fender Deville 4 x 10 combo, I have one slight problem with it. It's way too loud and powerful for me! I don't intend on playing live anytime soon and it's too much of an amp for me to use, anything past #2 on the volume makes my house shudder. I would love a Vox AC30 but...

    Aaron Cheney

Aaron, I decided to listen to your song on mp3.com "Round and Round You" and I'm going to give you my honest unbiased opinion, if you flame me I'll never give an honest review ever again. I found your song reminded me of the heavy rock bands of the mid 80's such as Ratt, Winger, Warrant etc...
