Thanks again for the great headphones. I was wondering if you sell other stuff like mic stands or what nots. I didn't see anything on links on your website to a Harvey Store.
I posted this question over on the newbie forum but hope to get better feedback over here.
What are you guys talking about when you say a microphone is bright, flat, dark, etc??
Is there a website that I can hear the difference between what is bright and what is not?
#1. Where can I "hear" what you guys are talking about when you are describing microphones as being "bright" or "dark"?
#2. When editing a track with effects, is it usually done on the whole track or part and parcel? For instance, I've been trying to edit vocal tracks with, say echo or...
Hey fellas!
I'm currently using the trial vers of n-track with an external wave editior (All Editor) for normalizing and effects. Is this necessary or does n-track have the capability already?
Also, I'm about 10 days into the 40 day trial period. I'm considering using Cakewalk Home Studio...
I have a pair of wireless SM58's and one corded SM58.
The corded one sounds quite different from the wireless ones. It's a bit more "muffled" for lack of a better term.
Does anyone know why this might be?
Is it common that the same model mics might sound different?
Here's my problem guys. I've tried recording vocals half a dozen times for the same song and it just doesn't sound right (ie. as when I'm not recording). I'm wondering if there is another method than the one I'm using.
I listen to the music through headphones to avoid bleeding into the vocal...
I'm torn between what to upgrade. Can I hear some opinions?
I do only vocal recording right now. I'm currently using the trial version of n-Track to record and singing into a Shure SM58.
n-Track is only 40 bucks to register but seems REALLY basic. Also, I'm not totally satisfied with how my...
I've got my wireless SM58 hooked up via XLR to my mixer. Got the mixer hooked up to the sound card from "Tape Out" (R/L) to LINE IN (with Y-connector). Phantom power tried ON and OFF.
1. Why would the volume be so low when recording (both voice and music) from the mixer.
2. Do you lose stereo...
I'm sitting here with my mixer next to my computer. Now do I use the mixer's R/L "Tape Out" to go to the computer's Line IN??\
There are also 4 Aux Sends too, but those are 1/4".
I have a few different mics and they all have the 1/4" plug at the end. Do I need an adapter to go from the 1/4" to the smaller one that plugs into the back of the sound card? or do I need to get a separate module that goes between the two (mic and sound card)?
I recently inherited some sound equipment and I'd like some guidance with how to use it. I have tons of karaoke dvd's and would like to record & mix on my computer. This is what I have:
* Digitech Studio S200 Multi Effects Processor (Have no idea how to use this)
* Peavy Q215 Stereo Graphic...
