So an insert can be used as a tape out (send) huh! By plugging the cable in to the first 'click' I just read. But then you lose the possibility of using the inserts for individual effects, no?

Me again! Pleae help me make my 2 Fostex 812 mixers 24 channels inline. I want to have 24 channels (in and out) and the mixer on the 'right' must be able to to do the 2 channel mix alone, if you know what I mean.. ok check this... I love my little fostex mixer it has 12 tape ins and direct outs on every channel, if I bought another one is it easy to link them together AND what if I got a couple of 'levellers' and put them between the direct outs to feed the 24 track tape machine +4db? Would the inserts...
