Here's a song I recorded for a mate's sister. She is only 16 and I think she did a well good job on this song. The recording quality is still a bit gay but I think I'm getting a little bit better

I'm going to get a second set of SDCs. I have a set of b5's that I got because they were cheap, easy to get hold of and I needed some half decent mics for an accoustic recording session at the Gaol. They have a nice accurate sound and I'm very pleased with them especial on woodwind instruments...
My Behringer MIC200 blew up yesterday (I didn't really like it anyway) so I have the OK from the other half to get a new preamp.
I have a DMP3 (it rules) and I'd prefer to get another 2 channel because it saves space and $$$.
Here's what I have in mind to replace the mighty MIC200:
Berry...

Any opinions greatly appreciated.
Same as always, vocals recorded with V67 and music is all electronic.
The first song is kind of taking the piss out or rappers who all they...
I have a V67g and I dig it but I want more flexability for vocals. Because the V67 is a coloured mic I suppose it would be an idea to get a neutral sounding mic. I was thinking along the lines of SP B3.
Any other ideas would be helpful.

Got My set of B5's in the mail today. Damn! These mics are REALLY QUIET! I turned the gain right up on my UB802 mixer and there is no noise at all on my Korg D16 meters. Granted I had to unplug the fridge and turn the ducted heating off but I couldn't beleive how quiet they are!!! Blow My MXL...
Does anyone have any personal opinions on the JMC Academy in Sydney (or Melbourne)? I'm thinking of doing the audio engineering and sound production course there.

The only thing I'm concerned with is the $9400/year it's going to cost me
Let me know what you think, Just the first verse. Vocals were recorded using a V67g

The levels are a bit low but I can't get it much louder without it clipping.
Any opinions apart from laughing at my aussie accent? :D
I've ordered a DMP3 and I figure that since I'm getting a better preamp (previously used a Berry UB802 that I now only use live) I figure I should get a pair of small diaphragm mics that aren't as noisy as my ecm8000s for accoustic. Do different mics sound better with different pres?

I posted a crap version of What I Got by Sublime because I wasn't happy with the sound of my accoustic guitar.
I did another sublime song this time Chica Me Tipo.
The guitar was recorded this time with 2 behringer ecm8000 mics. One (panned hard left) 12 inches away,in line with where the neck...
The microphone forum is closed so I think that this forum will do.
Does anyone have any opinions on ribbon mics? How do the vintage ribbon mics like RCA or Lustraphone go.
Are cheap ribbon mics like Nady or Beyerdynamic and good?
I need help getting a good accoustic sound. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to place the mic so I just put it 6 inches away and directly in front of the sound hole.
How do I record accoustic guitar without thet annoying sound of the pick hitting the strings???? ????
The song is "What...
Hs anyone ever used a JTS NX-2? I've read all over the net that it it highly comparable to a shure beta52. Over here in aus they are AU$149.
Mics are very expensive in Australia so I'm trying to get the best bang for the buck.
Other kick mics I can get are the ATM-25 for AU$289, Beta52 for $259...
