Just looked at the Acoustisorb 3 spec and thats 80% recycled plastic. So if it aint recycled milk bottles its some other kind of recycled plastic.

Point taken, but polyester is just plastic. Whether its recycled or new raw stuff, it is just plastic. The house insulation which you can still buy is made into a fleece type of material as in clothing. How is your sound studio stuff made?

Positive Mike. You cannot open a reaper file in Windows player. Only a wav or MP3 file.

To be fair though Rob, Rockwool RW3 the acoustic stuff for panels can be very crumbly and is very itchy. Cut with a sharp knife only. It is different than normal Rockwool. There is another mineral wool insulation called Knauf Earthwool which is normal house insulation and that doesn't itch at...

I think. Insulation is made from stone/rock. A natural substance heated until molten and sprayed in fine threads to form the fluffy fine wool type substance of different densities. Asbestos is a natural rock which is crushed to form whatever it was made into. But it is super fine and sticks...

Rich, because when you have made several recordings, it gets confusing when you are dealing with numbered wave files. So I renamed for simple ID. Instead of ...........01-23456-3351.wav ..........I then have .........Julies Party Raw 1.wav

No mike this is a wave file. It was just renamed after its recording. But for some reason and luckily it copied but with the new name. Same size in mb's but blank. Which is insane.

If you have tried different combinations of equipment and it is still the same, then it must be the item/technique that you havent changed which is the problem.

It plays in my media player and Reaper. It shows its time length in both. But it has no wave form in Reaper and is completely silent in both.

Made a recording and renamed the wave file appropriately. Then transferred to card via usb to use on another pc. When opening in other pc I have the original wave file and the renamed on there along with associated Reaper files. Both wave files are exactly the same size in mb's. Just...

On that point Rob thinking back to when I was a kid with a mono record player. When you put a stereo record on it, you almost lost part of the sound in the odd place. Does this not happen converting a track back from stereo to mono?
