    A Year and Nothing!

The roof space underneath your tiles/slates was always a draughty place as the wind blew in around the gaps between tiles/slates. So any water or condensation which got there could easily disperse and go away. Seal the roof with foam or other then you create a problem.

    A Year and Nothing!

The only insulation you can put in there is a granular type but from the top onto an installed basement ceiling. The other way is small pieces of thermal fibreglass insulation stuffed in off a step ladder which will take you forever. Even then it is thermal insulation and not acoustic...

Need suggestions for starting my home studio.

As Dave says above. If you havent your studio room/rooms sorted out yet, you are way ahead of yourself and wasting time and energy on the wrong thoughts. You cant fit out the home with furniture before you have built the house.

You are hitting all the nails on the head with 100% accuracy. I could build the studio but for the insides I came here for info. Yes I expected magic from RW3. I lined the inside of the sound booth with acoustic foam tiles. I think 250 of them. Then I inserted bass traps in each corner then...

    Question about Mineral Wool

If you are trying to 'stop' sound you have a good point. But lining the hard surfaces even with thin whatever can help the reflected internal sound. Nothing is perfect or foolproof. If there are sound/acoustic benefits with polyester over fiberglass/rockwool, then go with it. Health wise I...
