    when it comes to mixing, is it best to fill up the whole spectrum? if so can u explain this to me. what if you don't have that many sounds in the mix? do you just eq the hell out of each sound with lows and highs so it can fill up the whole spectrum?

    what's the difference between mono and stereo reverb? i don't get it cause i always see people sayin that they use mono reverbs or stereo reverbs. whats the point of mono reverbs if your tryin to make things sound wider?

    2 questions

    when using fl studio, is it better to render at 32 bit float or 16 bit? also when dealing with already processed samples in fl studio such as kicks, snares, strings, etc........is it better to lower the volume of those things all the way down to about -18dbfs since the drum samples itself...

    are software synths such as hypersonic and sampletank all stereo sounds? and if they are does it make sense to do the little delay trick to get a more stereo effect or will that just make it sound worse if the signal is already stereo?

    when engineers mix through analog mixers using external effects, i never understood how they render the track with the effects still on it. also how do you render tracks with the external effects on it when u mix on a DAW using external effects

    what is the difference between waves plugins that say mono such as waves pareq mono and waves rcomp mono and doesnt say mono. should i use the plugins that say mono on mono signals such as vocals and use the ones that dont say mono on stereo signals such as reverb or it doesnt make a difference?

    when i hit the 0 mark on my hardware mixer, does that mean it will read -18 on my soundforge peak meter? does anyone know any good articles that show the difference between software meters and hardware mixer meters?

    +4dbu compared to -10dbv

    does every mixer have a +4dbu jack? how does it look. also what is the difference between that and -10dv. is -10dbv when u record using the rca cables from your mixer REC OUT into the sound cards line out jack (the blue circle)?

    is there a way on how to find opposite frequencies

    is there a way or formula to find opposite frequencies? e.g. say i wanted to bring out more 8000khz but didnt wanna boost to aviod coloration, so i cut say about 250hz. is there a mathmatical calculation to find what are the to opposite frequecies?

    i have about 6 tracks and none of them clip but the master fader. it goes to like +3 above 0. so do i jus lower the master fader and it will be ok?

    how does your effect routing chain look like. i use samplitude and mine says "Gain, DirectX/VST Plugin (Pre), Dynamics, Distortion, Equalizer, FX Inserts, Delay/Reverb, Aux Send (Pre), Volume, Pan, DirectX/ Vst Plugin (Post), AUX Sends (Post). How does yalls effect routing look like?

    i read somewhere that u should never push the faders volume pass 0. Is this true? if so why?
