Is the dm5 really that much better? Ill be doing a lot of rock/metal, and some just plain old funky drum sounds, but do I really need the dm5? Is it that much better. Snares and bass drums are important to me.

ok, so im gonna try to install the dreaded alesis adat pci card. I got my blackface off ebay, but it didnt come with the software. Is there somewhere I can get the software/drivers I need to make this thing work. I am running windows 98.

ok, so i want to start surround mixing. ive got 8 speakers and 8 amps, and an 8 i/o card. now how do I start. I dont quiet understand panning (ie. guitar to back left) and how that would be done in surround. any suggestions? is special software needed? links?
