Pretty sure a lot of the nice tones you are getting have to do with how well you play as much as the Iridium's capabilities.
Excellent track. Love the wah bit in the middle. I love when someone uses wah expressively and not just rock it back and forth with the beat.
There's a whole lot going on...
@kity92 Just to be clear, you are asking about repairing a $120 microphone so I assume you are handy with soldering, and capable of (and of course comfortable with) breaking it down? Sending it to a shop if you start will cost more than it is worth.
I am in no way, shape or form capable of...
Noticed this ad for a studio gear auction. Several sets of , well, lots of stuff. Did notice there were several interfaces, headphone amps and headphones, but no monitors. Prices are still WAY low (except on ALL the headphones). Seems to have been a mac setup. Couple ILOK 3s at the last page if...
Nice, rich reverb. I love the mix. Everything in it's place (although being a bass player, I'd like to hear a little more of it). Great playing!
I'm assuming the drums are samples. The crash cymbals all tend to cut out unnaturally (no ring out). The snare needs a bit of variation.
2nd guess: The clip is a proprietary extension and the export program is not on the laptop. At which point @ecc83 's suggestion is gold, or installing the DAW or whatever you made the clip in on the laptop would resolve the problem. OR you could export the file from the DAW in a different...
I got one of these for my birthday and haven't played with it much. It has several functions and some very limiting issues.
The Pulse is the like the Core, but only has metronome function (no tuner or watch/smartwatch functions.)
PROS
Tuner works really well. Attach the mounts to any guitars you...
I've also noted that a lot of the songs I've written feel too slow after a time period. They sounded fine while recording, and before mixing. Then after a time, they seem to drag a bit... I guess that's sort of related, but not 100%.
@rob aylestone That's kind of brilliant...
Rhymes with nineteen:

You could also probably close-rhyme "surviving" or "contriving" or ...

I'd start with a genre/tempo/time sig... The words will be different for Rock or...
There's a six page discussion here: https://homerecording.com/bbs/threads/what-daw-are-you-using.392086/
Hope that helps some. Started 4-5 years ago, so some of the info is changed.
If you're on a budget, I've seen people get 2'x2' rockwool or 705 and cut the pieces in half diagonally (make triangles out of squares), then stack them up and put colored burlap over the face. You can usually get the cloth from a fabric store or big box store on clearance for about $1-$2 a yard...
I sit in the studio and plink around. Two of my favorite (of my own) songs have come from small snippets of larger recordings. Hello was based on a 12 second ditty in a 7 minute recording. Sometimes I have an idea and I flesh it out over weeks and never hit a record button. Sometimes I hear a...
My major fault is not recording when I'm playing with new ideas...I get great ideas and think of melodies and themes, and ...and I can't remember them two days later. lol
So, for me at least, a major component of songwriting is recording the sessions as I play around, then go back a week later...
Back in the 80s when we were self recording with only 8 tracks we recorded 6 tracks of drums and dumped them to 2. Then recorded three guitar and one bass tracks, mixed them to 2 more. Vocal and harmony, and done. 12 tracks on an 8 track recording platform...that was on tape. I'm sure with...
I've got a Yamaha acoustic I picked up at a pawn for $200 and absolutely LOVE how it sounds and plays. Wouldn't trade it for a Martin. It really depends on the tone of the instrument (and the ability of the musician), not the cost.
I think good tutorial vids should have links to the different topics, then you could skip over what you're solid on. Maybe a "skip ramble" button that could be added by viewers to shorten the curve would be nice as well.
