hi everyone. I'm decommisioning my ms16 and installing my mx70. As soon as I am done with my current project I will have a complete ms 16 for sale but for now I'm getting rid of a bunch of parts. I have 12 rec/play cards that I'll sell for $15 each plus whatever shipping is. If you are...
Hello all. My 1985 Amek Tac Scorpion board is getting a little squirrely and could use a re-cap. It gets almost daily use lately. Ethan sent me some new ics to try and they helped one problem but other channels do strange things like intermittant signals, intermittant hum/noise.
Here's the...
I want to record someone whistling for a tune I'm working on. Never done it before. I have a bunch of different mics. c414 eb, 4050, Peluso sdcs, Royer 121 ribbon, md421s, sm57s. Any ideas?
So I got some deoxit and it fixed a pot thats been bugging my for years. YAY! I do have a question though.... I seems to be under a lot of pressure and goes all over the place when you squirt it. I have been putting it in the holes in the pics. They are the only ones I can see.
I've got some funky ics that I need to replace in my TAC Scorpion board. I'm wondering if there are ones that are better than others, How I can tell which ones I need and where to get them. Here is a pic:
Hello tapedogs. I've seen alot of posts regarding deoxit, including a great one that Cory (I think) posted with pics of where to spray and how to do it. My question may sound stupid but......What is it and where do I get it? My 24 year old board has some stiffness and scratchiness (ok, not as...
Check it out my analog family! I've been searching for a good mix down deck for a while to stay in the analog realm (plus I'll get to watch TWO decks spinning at once) and finally found an MCI jh110 that I couln't pass up. The engineer in Nashville that I got it from (Chris Mara, great guy)...

I have on mid-eighties MCI JH110 1/4" deck for sale. 100% restored, working, aligned and in use now. I can deliver and verify alignment if desired.
Along with the pictures below, I have a video of it working and going through a 20hz-20khz frequency response test in record mode...
My m3 has a distinct hum. It is louder on the left channel (also mono out) than the right but it is in both. Is this a know problem? Its under warranty.

Hey all.
Just got done with a scratch recording of a new tune and the volume dips in a couple of places on track one or two. I have used this tape a few times before. Could this be the reason?
I've had this mic for a while and the rule is, if it hasn't been used for a year it has to go. It runs on European voltage but I'll send along a converter. Works great. I liked it on female voices and as a mono drum overhead. If anyone has more info about this mic let me know. I'm thinking...
Saw this on Craigs list. Though someone here might be interested. http://cleveland.craigslist.org/msg/878795488.html
Its not mine and I have nothing to do with it.
