Im trying to make my mix solid. im recording punk rock music. In my mix i have two tracks for distortion rythm guitar panned hard left and right. everytime i mix both tracks in my music, everything gets airy ???? can anybody tell me the most typical EQing for distortion rythm guitar...

I went from Shure SM58 to Rode NT3 to ROde NT1A to MXL 2003 and now I got MXL 993. Still cant get the mix...

everytime i compress my vocal , it always sounds overcompress. i lowered my ratio and thres but still it sound too harsh maybe from 4khz up, is it from the mic or preamp? or my dx compressor? mic placement? heres my chain mxl v67g --> roland mmp-2 with built-in EQ and Comp ---> Yamaha MX12/4...

I just got my MXL 990 and MXL 993. 990 for vocal and 993 for acoustic guitar. Im getting rid off my RODE NT1a and NT3. I dont like the sound of highness, too harsh. MXL are smoother. I just tried it today. Anyway just asking if which is better for my martin d15 acoustic guitar? 990 or 993?

My Budget is $200 for condenser mic kit. I currently have the RODE NT1A for vocal and RODE NT3 for my Martin D-15 Acoustic Guitar. I planned to switch to a new kit. Choice 1. MXL 2003 and MXL603s Choice 2. MXL 990 and MXL 993 Choice 3. Keep my RODEs

i dont like the sound of the pick, theres a lot of acoustic tracks ive heard that i cant hear any pick sound. how do they do that?

IN my opinion, it acts like a compressor but it process in a certain frequency. I dunnu, not sure, can anybody share?
