I've been experimenting with using fig-8 in multi micing situations, primarily for the purpose of taking advantage of the null characteristics, not to mention their being tighter at less than 90 deg.
Looking at the few polar patterns of mics I have (and others) that show more than the standard...
..and get Ethan a 7602.
:):D
I bet you, all those pretty little knobs, those dual gains that haunt the question; 'Where is real anyway?, a bit o 'crunch, a small dose of Rock & Roll chaos'.. A slip to the dark side..?
:)
I have this recorder, bought by my folks back in the sixties. At 59'ish and full-on digi nut' ;) likely is I'm not going to do the analog resurgence' thing here. It's been setting idle, drive and take-up want to turn but bog down.
If it's of use to someone I'd just as soon see one of you music...
I put this in Neubies' cause '..sometimes you feel like a nut...' :o :)..
Where the heck do these 'user presets get saved to? And why can't I even find them in a file search?
I had to back up some user presets to do an upgrade.
So I never noticed this before, but the two places on a plug –...
Would there be a way to reduce the dynamic range of a signal by simple ratio and not include time' and threshold?
I may be missing something really basic here. But if you were to scale each sample's level value by say .5 would that make for a transparent dynamic range reduction with out the...
I'm not looking for a remote (use the Central station w/o just fine) but I've been poking around at a way to tie in the home studio paths along with all general music/video sources (looking at Larvy's DA11..), came across this.
Interesting though. Cat5 (digi' control I presume?). This seem like...
Away from my rig so I haven’t actually checked this out or anything, :) so I’m just tossing this out here. I was thinking about how to put some spread on this guitar solo track –it happens be clean’ with a lot of ‘clicky stuff on it (think chicken scratch' style- as in part of the sound)...
Yes folks, after a brutal life -on the road for well over three gigs, uncounted (2..) rehersals this LoneStar Special is kaputski.
I'm setting here fitting this guita track in and hear this sputter'. Turn to see light flashing out the back reflecting of the rack. Look back to see the rectifiier...
So we get this offer from Cascade for a special on the Fathead' and I notice they show it (now, as opposed to the one I have) as not having the hump in the upper bass.
Same mic, different (fixed'?) plot, or did they really flatten the thing out?
This mic is receive'ed! Clean, solid, sounds good, all A #1. :D
It was a pleasure doing business sir!

Any feed back yet?
Variable A-A/B (is that for real?) $400.
I hate trying to test stuff like this 'in store. Ick. :p
Anyone know of a good program with the tools for making chord sheets -with as well as with out lyrics? Basically at times I want to keep it bare bones, no lyrics or staff, want chord names, spacing, size and placement etc of my choosing -not necesserilly tied to a 'time or measure format.
I'm looking for lighter on the heavily pre-scooped + sharp click style.
What I've noticed problematic with a lot of the samples that came with the plug is the sharper the click' and the more scooped the tone, the less option you have contouring it to fit the kit/mix. Some in the 'Perfect Kicks...
I was looking for something better than draping the cord over- live, more compact than a stand.. Good, not..?

So why's it closed?
Re-do on real speakers-
In both cases the 2nd 'guit is a bit fluffyer' around the points -sounds a little less direct'. If I were to guess (I guess I am..;) -if cardioid, let's say 1 is say 3" or less, 2-3 out 5-6".
Of the snare 2 and 3 at least sound like the same base sound...
Might there be mics that, as opposed to being just really scooped' there, do a bit of compression or maybe thickening when they're pushed? I see it more on ladies, but male vocal too sometimes. I don't think the mic is at fault, more that it's the tone that's there. A case where 'honest isn't...
First off I seem to always be working at getting the 'tone and fit' within the on stage mix right. As you know the size', feel and blend of your amp can vary a lot in one size room vs another and especially outside gigs.
I was wondering if other players find moving around to find those spots...
Hey guys, I don't get to do much hard rock (being an old fogy' an all.. :D) and don't post much, (actually this'll be my first.. But this turned out nice. Check it out.
Just for a point of ref for the volume wars' thing.. This (could be) an example (or contrast to) what some of yous guys are...
I have this very simple (hopefully temporary ;) problem- This old TV we're using -coax combo signal-in, has god awful sound. I have an old Symetrix eq that would be just the ticket.
