    Find the Cost of Freedom

Really nice harmonisation on the vocals...dunno if it's just my headphones colourising things a bit, but i'd maybe add a 'smidgen' more bass to the acoustic? Very much a nit pick though. This got me me to seek out some CS&N stuff on youtube.

    Dangerzone (Kenny Loggins Cover)

Acoustic Treatment Necessary with Vocoded Vocals?

Ok this is probably a dumb Q, but here goes - is acoustic treatment (inc. vocal shields) necessary for vocals that are going to be sent to a vocoder? If the voice is going to be synthesised 100 percent anyway, the recording environment shouldn’t matter so much should it, only the proper...

Embryo/Children of The Grave (Black Sabbath Cover)

Instrumental, with a synth replicating the vocal melody. I certainly wasn’t going to inflict my vocals on you guys.

    Alternatives to These Waves Plugins

Not really anything out there that is quite like this. There’s plenty out there - in the end I decided on the ssl native bus compressor Not everyone has Logic Audio Not at all. Most are very poor and unnatural sounding. I ended up with Satin by Uhe. It’s not a filter, and so therefore not a...

    Alternatives to These Waves Plugins

Hey guys. I’ve been using Waves plugins almost exclusively for a few years, but I’m now looking to migrate away from their ecosystem for reasons I don’t want to get into or make the focus of this thread. I have achieved good mixing results with the following plugins, which are a huge part of my...

    AV65 Jaguar Neck Pocket Angle?

Wondering if anyone here knows the exact neck pocket angle of the AV65 Jag?

    Trash Can

That was excellent. I think you should expand on this as it feels underdeveloped, but the finadamental ideas are strong. Reminds me of king crimson. Great guitar tones, and I like the use of the stereo spectrum.

    Spaceman's Highway (29 Million Miles)

Thanks guys, I find I get more honest feedback here, which isn’t necessarily good for my ego but allows me to improve! yes I agree it needs some resolution...maybe I could reintroduce the ambient part from the start? The schizoid, wondering approach was kind of intentional, though I can accept...

    Spaceman's Highway (29 Million Miles)

Thanks trichter...probably around 50 or 60 lol, something ridiculous. Though I hear on some orchestral mixes there can be up to 100 tracks.

    Bats Brew funk: "Poppin' Tight"

Nice funk and jazz fusion elements on display here - everything sounds real clear and separated in the mix as well. i guess my only criticism would be that the entire track more or less stays at one pace....which come to think of it isn't such a bad thing considering the short duration. Good job!

    Spaceman's Highway (29 Million Miles)

Weird mish mash of ambient, psychedelia, electro, prog, rock, metal, and even a few bars of funk! Let me know what you guys think.

    Mixing motorhead

Heh..I tried replicating that by boosting around 1-2khz, and using the bridge PU samples in my rickenbacker Kontakt library. I might try reamping through a muff pedal tomorrow; I think a rams head could work with the treble cranked.
