Hello......Was wanting to go from the audiobox back into my mixer to tweek the tracks a little more as I do the mix and then back into the DAW in stereo from the mixer. Signal from the mixer works fine going in but if I come out of the audiobox into the returns (tape returns) from the 8 outs...

So...apparently the 1818vsl 8 outputs can't be routed back to a mixer (analog) for more tweaking...It,s just a Audiobox 96 with 8 inputs and 2 outs....Am I right? ?

Just got a HD24...It says you have to set the number of tracks you are going to use before recording. My question is what if you set it on 8 tracks and after recording those tracks need to add a cpl more. Can you add more tracks one at a time or are you locked in to only having the 8 tracks? Thanks

If anyone is interested,I have a nice blackface for sale on Ebay. It has 550 hrs on a newer head. It was replaced around 2 yrs ago. Have $170 on it but taking offers...Comes with a new idler wheel,LRC and 3 tapes..Idler wheel in recorder was replaced when the new head was installed.. Thanks

Thanks dogooder....Saw that one. Unfortunately it's in the UK......:cautious:.... Guess I'll keep lookin..Don't really need it as my console has meters also. The BRC I have has the bracket for one.

The BRC has a meter bridge that sets at the top of the unit. There is one on Ebay but the price is $100 untested with a crack on the side and $89 shipping...If it wasn't for the high shipping I might would give it a go...

I am using the 1/4 inch jacks..I have the manual but I can't find any calibration points. The only thing on the back of the pod is a peak hold switch. I'm guessing they have probably not been calibrated in a while, I just got this one a cpl weeks ago.

Hi Sweetbeats....They run hot both ways. Going to and from the ADATS...I'm using two Alesis blackface units..Like I said,I can't hear any distortion and the channel peak indicators don't flash when recording. ADAT levels don't go into the red...

Hi all.......Quick question about a older Fostex mixer. Picked up a model 820 at a yard sale for $50. My second one.. (it works). I hooked it up to my ADATS (Yup,I mix analog and digital..Digilog....)and started doing a recording. The mixer levels go well into the red and mostly stay there...
