Using stretch markers in Reaper to fix bad drum timing issues

I use stretch markers often in my own songs, on instruments and drums and often singing too. Used sparingly it is really great, saves me lot's of fixing or re-recording something.

Guitar 'truths" that you believe are myths

I'm not saying resonance is a bad thing, people love it, but, basically the more resonance the less sustain of the strings....Les Paul believed it too.

Could you give me thoughts on my lyrics? Criticism is welcomed!!!!!!

I can't tell without hearing the song...I see no problem with your lyrics. I mean, seriously....some huge hit songs have terrible lyrics....this one always bothered me and still does Sweet dreams are made of this Who am I to disagree? Just do better than that and trust yourself.

How were most famouse hit tracks mastered

I have read many books by bands/musicians/engineers/producers. The most recent one I read was Tony Visconti....good book (I like any book about bands, music etc. even band and people I don't like). I found it very interesting when he spoke about 60's/early 70's recordings made in the USA vs...

Is mastering truly necessary these days?

I'm not technically good on recording, but I've been doing it for 55 years or so. I read tons of books about music, bands, producers etc. etc. What I do know for sure, even speaking about well known engineers, producers etc. (meanings have changed over the years), in the end they all hear sound...

How were most famouse hit tracks mastered

It may be a short intro, it may only be a single cow bell, but this is one of the best and most recognized ever in the hard rock era:
