If my mixer has 48v Phantom power does that mean I don't need a preamp for my mics? Or are there other advantages to using a preamp and not the PP on the desk?

I'm having problems EQing a vocal track recorded with an Audio Technica ST90 MKII. Trying to use the Antares to match it but that particular mic isn't listed under source mics. I've never even seen one of these. Can anyone tell me what might be the closest match in the mic modeler? Thanks, Alec.
