I'm recording on a hard disk unit (Yamaha AW4416) .... and not on a computer. And I'm typically micing acoustic drums. Am I the only person here doing it that way????

Anyone have any experience with or opinion about the Shure PG81? I bought two of these the other day for Drum Overheads. I've got them hanging strategicaly from the ceiling, and I think they sound good.... but I'd be interested to hear other opinions.

Anyone have any experience with the AKG C414 B-ULS verse the AKG C414 B -TL? I'd like to know the main differences in these two mics from a user's perspective. Thanks

Cany anyone contrast the "ease of use" between the Akai DPS 16, Yamaha AW4416, and the Roland 1680. I am contemplating a purchase of one of these 3 units. Which has the biggest learning curve, and after the curve which is the most user friendly. Thanks
