    Loops, Sounds, Cycles.

I have a whole bunch of sound samples and have no idea where to put them. Mixcraft 5 comes with thousands of samples and stores them in an appropriate folder. So that's not a problem but I also have Cold Fusion, Technologic and Amplitube which comes with a whole host of loops. I'm sure I have...

Had a control surface all this time....

... and didn't even know it. Hooked up my Korg D3200 to Cubase LE4 via the M-Audio Midisport and "Voila" a control surface which so far, works for panning & faders. Those of you with midi I/O on your stand alones may just want to give this a go. :)

    Setting up speakers (Live)

Can I daisy chain from 8 Ohm through to a 4 Ohm speaker?

    A question about E-bay

When something is on sale for a fixed price or best offer, how much do you offer? I'm looking at a mixer for $314 or best offer. The same company is selling the same mixer for $299 firm on another page.

    New Power Speakers

I've gone back and forth on this for a while. I want to use the Behringer Xenyx 1204FX for live gigs and couldn't make up my mind between buying an amp to run my passive speakers or just buy some powered speakers and be done with it. Check these out...

Cubase VST 32 5.0 Is it any good?

Hi Folks: I've had Cubase VST 32 hooked up for about a year and a half now but have been doing all of my editing on Mixcraft. I pop in once in a while and play around with it but I do find the software to be somewhat, complicated. I also have the "Getting Started" manual so no excuses for not...

    Power Amp

Don't know why I didn't think of this before but I have a Behringer 1204FX which I don't really need for the studio and am using the MP8 with a couple of 100W, passive speakers for my live gear. I'd rather use the Behringer for this. I can't afford active speakers and am not really sure that I...

    Tascam portastudio 424 mkII ?

I'm trying to set my father in law up with a Tascam portastudio 424 mkII which I can buy for $120 or am going to have a look at his Roberts 70X Reel to reel which is buried in his basement somewhere. He's in his early eighties and looking to make some recordings for his grandchildren. Simplicity...

    Works in progress ♫

Hi: I've been hanging around for a week or so before I dip my toe in the water. I'll be posting some of my stuff here for tips and suggestions. You won't find anything too complicated in my arrangements as I'm a folk singer and not too much into modernization. Always interested in...
