I started with a Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 Generation 3, and I still use it. It has 4 inputs and 4 outputs. Very affordable price in my opinion. They have a 4th Gen now.

It sounds like you were falsetto all or most of the performance. Stevie Nicks did a combination of chest voice and falsetto, switching between the two. Maybe you could come a little closer to that if you give it another try? Like someone said, you can sing, but the falsetto all the way through...

I agree. Do you use a metronome? That could help. As for writing lyrics that takes practice too.
