I recently fitted a MAYA 44 eX pci soundcard. It plays music from My Music OK, but when I record in Reaper the recorded sound is very distorted as in attachment. Changing sample rate or latency makes no difference. My computer is Intel i7-7700K 4.2GHz, 16GB RAM, Windows 10 64-bit.

I normally only use WAV. However to send music via email I need mp3. When I try to render to mp3, Reaper tells me I need to download LAME. I've done this and downloaded libmp3lame-3.99.5x64 and lamedll-MOD3.99.5 but Reaper still wont render. What is wrong? BTW I'm in England.
