sorry for all the posts about this... What exactly can The lynx one not sample at 96...? I feel like I'm getting mixed messages. It says I can record digital at 96, is this not MIC, is mic only recorded by analog...? If this card has support for up to 32-bit wouldn't 32/41khz sound better than...

I'm wondering if effects like making my voice echo, reapeat, or different room effects can be done in software realtime, or software not in realtime etc...or only with an effects processor, or is it best to be done with external gear of somesort, or to get a preamp that can do this? An example...

Is a compressor in a preamp better than no compressor? I'm thinking about the Art Pro Pac MP. Is having only one channel a problem besides not being able to record two people at once...? This preamp is reg 300, but I've see it for 240.
