I just came back from one of the most musically inspiring concerts I have ever been to. Celtic guitarist Steve Baughman from San Francisco teamed up with David Surrette, a multi instrumentalist from Maine, on a six-stop east coast tour, Montpelier Vt. being the last stop. Both are top shelf solo...
I'm sounding like a broken record, but let's face it - you guys are my primary source of information and I'm gonna get something soon... So - Dreamland, perhaps, but who has used the Studio Projects T 3 and can tell about it - what its like, best kind of uses, and so forth. I think of it as a C...
I'm looking at this thing after running into some positive comments about it, particularly for female vocals. I'm not contemplating using it as a workhorse mic (the SP C3 comes to mind...:D) but to get a particularly warm vocal sound. Anyone care to share experiences with tube mics in the $300...
I'm having a hard time believing that this isn't a typo, but follow the link to Martin Simpson's site and check out his (slightly used) custom Martin 12 string for sale @ about a hundred bucks a string...

Hey, y'all - check this out! It's a bit dated (the AKAI DPS 24 comes with a 60 gig drive and so forth) but pretty useful nevertheless.

I have G.A.S. Any YMMV input on this unit? Looking at 16 tracks, 40 Gig, CD burner. Touch screen is interesting. I would plan to supplement it with some basic preamps (M-Audio or Blue Tube), and ability to swap .wav files is a plus. I have not heard a Korg.
This may end up as a double post when the system wakes up. My apologies in advance...
OK, so I'm conflicted. I want a dedicated machine, but I don't want to leave the computer entirely. Let's have at it. If you were to make the purchase again, what would you do the same / differently?
How...
and I'm nervous as a long tailed cat.
A friend of mine does a local 4-H bluegrass concert / BBQ benefit every September. There's usually a stellar bluegrass lineup, and I'm usually sharing the stage with a "finish it off, boys, it's not dead yet" open mic jam at the end of the evening. It's...
I just ran into my nephew's web page. Get a load of Norwood Blues...

I'm finally going...
My family and I are visiting Gettysburg soon and a stop on the way home is to the Martin guitar factory in Nazareth, PA. I've been wanting to do this all my life... My wife will have to duct tape my credit card to the sole of my shoe or something.
Anybody ever worked with...

I know it's getting a little old, but I've been thinking of the advice I've gotten here and have been tweaking the mix on Walking in Jerusalem, and so, well, here goes...
Nowhere is somewhat down at the moment, so the new mix can be found here (at least until Nowhere is back on all fours)...
I went back and fiddled with the mix...
