hey guys, i'm recording with my presonus firepod. everynow and then, when i'm recording with my firepod, my computer seems to freak out. it will be recording fine, then it will start to lag INSANELY BAD. i'm recording with only 1gb of ram(which i know is really bad). would ram be my problem? or...
so, i've done my research and it looks like i've got my mind set on the Presonus Firepod. but... i don't have a firewire input on my computer. what accessory do i need to buy?
hey guys, still quite new to this mixing stuff, but does anybody know of a vst plugin that can accomplish this? i'm mainly going to use it to quantize drums since i own steven slate and kontakt. thanks
So i've had a behringer xenyx1202 fx mixer for quite a while now.. and i recently recieved a UCA-202. I've been told that the uca is used to connect to your daw from the mixer. anyhow, i have installed AISO4ALL, and while i'm recording i can see the wav form(so i know i'm recording.) but i can't...
so i'm getting used to adobe audition 3.0....while i'm recording... i know i'm playing in time(i did several different tests) but when i play it back, the audio is about a second behind. I'm not sure what the problem is, i have all my drivers set up correctly..
so since i'm mainly focusing on recording all types of metal... i plan to trigger instead of using mics. anyhow, what equipment would i need?
#1. ive looked at the ddrum redshot triggers, but i'm not sure what it would connect to. Any feedback will help, thanks!
so i have this mixer.........GuitarCenter
and i wanted to know, after i'm done recording, would i still be able to do post mixing ON the mixer? everything mixes down to one track, so i'm curious.
so i had a friend send me a mix of his so i could mix it. the thing is,when i'm listening to the mix, everything seems to be panned to the right, although my screen in reaper says its in the center... how could i fix this?
so i got a really good deal on this thing so i think i'm going to buy it. Behringer ADA8000 Ultragain Pro AD Converter and 8 Microphone Preamp | Sam Ash Music 1-800-4-SAMASH
my question is, how will it connect to my comp?
so i have a pair of m-audio bx5a monitors. if i listen to a song on youtube, it sounds perfectly fine. but if i download a song, and play it back through my monitors, it sounds HORRIBLE. i have noticed when i play acoustic type music, it sounds fine. but if i play like hardcore, deathmetal...
well i was talking to my friend who also records bands and such and he was trying to explain to me how he replaces drums. he first said
"convert to midi then run the samples as a VI"
secondly, he said "basically. MIDI notes trigger a VI (Virtual Instrument).
I have SSD running as a VI track in...
so i just discovered the wonders of replacing a stereo drum track but i have some problems. I downloaded this
http://www.hometracked.com/2007/07/26/download-drumtrig-vst-sample-replacer/
and when i placed it into my VST folder and scanned for it, it did not show up. what did i do wrong?
so after receiving this mic (thanks to someone on this site :D) awkwardly enough, another one was given to me as a gift. I do not need two of these mics so i'm selling one. Comes with Mic only.
shoot me your offer!
i know this topic has been covered already but i desperately need an interface to record drums. i was doing some searching and found this http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/Nady-PRA8-Mic-Preamp?sku=185277
and i thought, wow... what a piece of junk, who sells an 8 input for $130. but...
ok, this is somewhat similiar to my older post.. when i am recording, it seems like my computer can't handle 8 tracks with fx. but when i was looking for raw tracks to mix, i had imported about 15 tracks and it ran fine and i was able to export it without clipping.. why does this happen?
so I'm curious. I need to treat my room but don't exactly want to mess up. I wanted to know if you treat your room incorrectly, would it lead to non-accurate mixes?
