    Korg SQD-1 MIDI sequencer

Made in 1986 or thereabouts. I fooled around and won one of these in mint condition on Ebay for $65, half hoping someone would outbid me. It comes with five of the elusive 3" Mitsumi Quick Disk floppies. Anyone ever use one of these?

    Weird Feeback

This is the "Goblin" patch. It's fairly typical of the results. The chirpy effect is noticeable when the note is released, which leads me to believe the delay echoes are essential.

Anyone here ever play a MIDI guitar?

As many of you know, I'm an avid collector of vintage Casio instruments. So when I decided to take up guitar again, there was really only one choice: the Casio DG-20 digital guitar. My Casio VZ-8M rackmount synth has special modes for string and wind controllers, so the DG-20 will let me...

Gonna take up guitar again. Recommend a decent amp simulator.

I've been jonesing for a SansAmp GT-2 but don't want to pay damn near retail for a used one. Are there any other decent rackmount or pedal sims out there?

    let me see your studio!

I'm rearranging the whole mess around a 424/238 core. The space wasn't very well organized for any kind of workflow before, tape nor DAW. I've set a hard deadline of April 1 to have everything set up and all the room treatment done so we can start recording acoustic guitar and vocals. Here's...

CTK-7000: Can I use it as a Interface, Mixer and Midi Controller?

CT-7000 photos The CT-7000 arrived today! The bottom half of the case is wood. I'll have more to say about it later. First I have to find a manual and figure out why it has nine volume knobs.

Anyone have an M-06 manual, or want to talk me through it?

Some unexpected jacks turned up on this thang.

Will MOTU MIDI Timepiece print SMPTE to analog tape?

Their literature sort of hints at it, but they don't come right out and say it.

Two doors at the back end of the room?

My studio is an 8 ft. x 9 ft. room with an 8 ft. ceiling. There's a closet door on the back wall next to the left rear corner, and a door to the hallway on the righthand wall next to the right rear corner. I can't put reasonably deep corner traps back there because they would block the doors...

Casio MT-400V (Yes, the playable analog filter Casio!)

That could be a little awkward. The CT-410V has full-sized keys. The MT-400V has mid-sized keys. Here they are together for comparison.

Casio MT-400V (Yes, the playable analog filter Casio!)

Here's joy. I just got the missing detachable speakers for this keyboard. I bought them from the same guy who sold me the HT-6000. The speakers are nearly flawless. Not a single dent in the metal grilles. I now have one of the few complete MT-400Vs left in the known universe. Needless to say...
