Right here on homerecording forum. @wkrbee had listed that he was clearing out a bunch of MS-16, 388 and more machine parts. I got a set of VUs for my 388 and the new head block for the MS-16. The head block is mint for sure. He’s a good guy!

Tested meter bridge again today, connected plug from 7/8 meters to 9/10 meters. Ran music through 7/8 and 9/10 responded perfectly. So good news that the meters themselves work... Bad news is that it's in the inside of the mixer master section that I'll have to delve to find the problem...

Using RTM SM911. I’ve cleaned up the rollers, guides and heads since this photo was taken. I can go take a new one if needed. All the gunk came off. I also replaced the capstan pinch roller wheel.

That was always my problem with the VR-09, great offering but terrible build and feel. The VR-730 improved on it for sure. I’m really happy with the build quality on the Juno-X, it’s built like a tank but not overly heavy. And the keys are very nice, pleasant even. I still prefer my Fantom 7...
