I just got Vegas 3.0 tryna play around wit it see what it can do. I imported an avi to the media pool then dragged it to the track view...i press play i hear the sound but i don't see video. I'm not sure if the black screen on the lower right is suppose to show it but u'll see the #'s where...

when do u find it most beneficial when using the eliminate dc offset feature? right when u import the mix to 'master' it? when ur done processing the file? or when u reduce it to CD quality (I record @ 24/44.1)

I usually make 8 bar instrumental loops, I may do some panning automation or volume automation. Now i want to copy and paste till the track is like 4 min of consecutive 8 bar loops... my problem is the envelopes are never copied to the other copied tracks..y? TIA

i went to options audio and clicked share drivers w/o programs but it still doesn't wanna...if i click record in samplitude sonar audio won't play or if i click play in sonar samplitude won't record...help tia

how? i got this avi that i converted to mpeg-1 to make a VCD but the files converts to 733mb a tad bigger then the 700mb cd's i have(BTW are there 800mb out?) so i was wondering after i import the file into sonar how would i make it smaller? cuz each time i do that cut some audio off then...

my answer is yes, but bearable cuz i haven't used anything but computer recording. i don't mix entirely in the box though but i hear it in tracking...my memories of mixing totally withina comp is like oatmeal very mushy

ok...for now i primarily record hip hop...as u know (if u recorded it before) there is alot of editing to the drums and melody to bring out the lyrics...like completely takin out the drums for a few bars or half a bar and the same wit the melody every time i do this in Sonar there is an audio...

As we all know Sonar runs on a computer and they are noisy as fuck...i don't have the luxury of a sound proof booth so i was wondering if sonar has real time gating to make it so that the mic won't pick up the computer noise(as much anyway) i got the Waves Gold and TC Bundle...does 2 pricey...

I'm going to format my comp when i'm finished backin up my files so it would be GREATLY appreciated if someone could make a startup disk and email me the files in a ZIP preferably 2000 so i can use NTFS or tell me how to make one with Win XP pro cuz i couldn't figure it out and any longer trying...

My thoughts so far....I upgraded from Me to XP...so i'm loving the WDM drivers...XP has other lil neat features haven't used it enuff to see how much more stable it is then ME... One Question: Is it better to have NTFS or Fat32 or does it it matter cuz me upgrading from ME i have fat32

THe guy at this studio suggested i used cubase cuz its format compat wit pro tools....but i don't really wanna learn a new software or leave my beloved cakewalk...are the any suggestions for transferring projects from sonar to pro tools?
