I've got the fourty dollar one and it "screams" like a bitch. How does it compare with the hundred seventy dollar "retro" one? Does it "scream" 130$$$ better? :confused: I guess if I was playing to stadiums full of Clear Channel ticket buyers this wouldn't be an issue, but I'm not, so I ask.

Just picked one up a used one today for $150 at GC's Labor Day sale. I'll be using it to replace my ailing Porta One which I bought in 1986 and made many recordings on up through the early '90's.

Anyone catch this concert on KCET last night? What an amazing collection of vintage and new guitars the band cycles through! Some nice looking amps, too. Those guys have great taste. Mike Campbell played a green Rickenbacker mandolin on one tune. Looks like a miniature 300 series Rick. Pretty cool.

Listen to movie soundtracks(the instrumental scores, not songs). Especially soundtracks to movies you haven't seen before or haven't seen in a long time and don't recall every scene. Get out your pen and notebook and start writing down whatever comes to your mind.

Does such a beast exist? :confused:
