I downloaded V6.79 today and tried to copy from one part of a MIDI track to another. It worked just fine. I think I will stick with the pre V7 version of Reaper for the time being. Thanks all, Brian

Thanks for your fast replies. I now plan to do this. A simple question: will the older V6.83 overwrite the V7 version or will it load separately on my computer. Also, if I have done a little work using V7 will this recording work on V6.83. Many thanks, Brian

I feel very embarrassed writing this. I have Reaper V7. When I try to copy a MIDI section e.g. 1 bar from bar 1 to repeat this in bar 3, the DAW creates a new track and copies the item to the new track. I cannot get it to copy to the track where I want it. This has never been a problem...

These are on a recording which I received. As the recording has numerous instrument and vocal tracks, I think I will simply leave them there. I do not feel competent, as a newbie, to get into too much technical activity with Reaper just yet ! Many thanks for your (fast) reply. Brian

This does not work. I had just downloaded the latest version of Reaper and when I went to Theme Adjustor/Color the "color" screen does not have Left-Right arrows to proceed to other choices. On earlier versions of Reaper there is no forward slash after the word Adjustor. By the way, thanks...
