Repeat: The AKG C3000 is not an accurate mic. I'm sure for many reasons, but here's one:
The mic doesn't follow the transiets fast enough; just like many large diaphragm condensers.
You better use a small diaphragm condenser to get more of an accurate reponse. Or if you want a large diaphragm...

The new issue of Recording Magazine came in the mail today. In it, it has another review of the MXL 2001 and 2003 by Bob Ross.
For the most part, it was another one of those "Rave Reviews".
