Pixie the Brave: the epic saga of when our cat chased away a fox from our front porch (instrumental & doorbell cam photo included!)

You could upload your video on YouTube then provide a link. That should work.

do i really need an expensive guitar

You are gonna have to find a way to leave room in the mix for the “nuances” that you want to be heard no matter what instrument, or sound source for that matter, you are recording.

Yes I’m sure it needs all of those things. This is just a scratch track that is basically there to record the layout and idea of the song. Now I will set it to a fixed tempo then re-record all of the parts individually, mix and add effects as needed. Thanks. Guy

Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra - Eleanor Rigby a bit more 'big'?

That all sounded very realistic and authentic to me. A couple kettle drum rolls and a few cymbal crashes and they will be playing it in every elevator in the UK Guy

    Frank Lloyd Wright’s Revenge.

Yah I get that with the solo. I WISH I could sing as good as you do. This song kinda reminds me of Alice Coopers “saga of Jesse Jane “ nice

Hey I don’t mind at all. I’m glad you liked it and I’m sure Maurice will be happy too. I’ll play it for him on Tuesday when we jam next. Would it be too much trouble to get you to bring the levels of the melody line you put in there up a bit so it’s more noticeable. I appreciate that you’re...

    Dusty Souvenirs

Not sure where to post this cause the song is too new to even think about mixing. This is the scratch track we did on last Tuesday night. Lyrics and music by Maurice Motut.

Here is a rough mix of a tune I’m working on. Mix Feedback appreciated! Just posted new mix.

Yah that’s weird. I take it that visually on the daw it shows a centred vocal but through my quad core ear buds it’s not. Good luck fixing that. Maybe taking everything off the vocal and starting from scratch will get you where you want it Maybe disable the plug ins one at a time to see if you...

^^^^ Yah I second “ er third “ centering the vocal and hopefully it will pop out a bit more. I think that will take care of the guitar on the left also

    Frank Lloyd Wright’s Revenge.

I found it quite enjoyable to listen to. I think TripleM has it figured out but I would add that it’s a touch difficult to hear the vocals in some spots as the guitars are more or less centre stage. Loved the guitar tone on second solo, nice bite to it.

Well I started a playlist on Spotify called, Unknown and unsigned. If any of you want me to post some of your songs on it, I am looking for originals that are more or less in the rock/classic rock vibe. Cheers. Guy

    Anyone still use Acid Pro?

Gotta laugh just went down to studio for a look and I’m actually using acid home studio duh….. I’m just doing basic mixing. All of our songs are constructed starting with a scratch track then we just keep overdubbing better takes until we’re satisfied enough. Check out my song Complications in...

    Anyone still use Acid Pro?

Yup I use it for all my mixing. I record on a zoom r24 then transfer the waves to acid for mixing and effects. Works good for what I do Guy
