I know some people are using ADAMs, but that's about the extent of (different) monitor that I've heard of people using. Are there any others that are "out of the norm" that anyone's using, ie: Earthworks, Dynaudio, HotHouse... and how do they compair with the Mackies, Blue, Gen, monitors.

at the top describing the difference between Mixing and Mastering, or better yet, break off Mastering and Mixing into two different catagories. Mastering gets used a lot of places where something like the words "Sweetening a mix" would serve better. IMHO

What mics would you suggest to start out with? This would only be for local churches, schools and such nothing major, would be on location recording, 8 tracks available. From what I've read, the Decca tree seams to be the setup of choice, I can't afford Nuemans or anything like that, thinking...

I'm wondering if any of you would be intrested in a cd dulpicator kit, that would include all the needed parts, and would most likely work with your present burner, what would you pay for something like this? It whould be able to burn 100 cd's unattended, using your own computer based burner.
