My church just had some smoke damage done to the youth part of the church. This means that the mixer (tascam 12 channel - with 8 busses, parametric eq) the monitors, the monitor and main amps and the mains all had smoke damage. So this is what we need: -A medium sized mixer (12 tracks -...

I am thinking of buying a 16 track mixer and sending the out's from each track to a sound card on my computer. I would like to use N-Track (because it's cheap...and so am i ;)) I would then run the outs back to the board to do all my mixing. This allows me to have all the benefits of a...

    My Studio Design

I know that square walls are a problem, however I could put some sort of absorption material in the corners. I was thinking of making the floor covering out of parkay or some other laminate product. The vocal room would be lined with the "eggcarton" stuff, mostly for sound absorption...

    How do I avoid phasing

Hey guys: I am going to record a hardcore band soon. I am going to use four mics. two overheads, one kick and one snare. How do I make sure that my overheads are in "phase". I am recording these using a mackie 1202 and using the individual line outs for the first four tracks into two...

    Just take it somewhere

These kind of things are very tricky, one wrong wire and it won't work at all. I would look for a wiring diagram on the internet, if nothing else take it to a music shop. The shop in my town charges about $20 to do it. I figure that's worth it for me. Saves me work.

    4 Track analog recorder

I am looking for a 4 track recorder that will record 4 tracks simulataneously. I would prefer digital but will survive with tape. Let me know if it's possible to find one under US$150. I don't need a fance eq or anything of the sort just has to record 4 tracks at once.

    First mix ever posted

This is the first mp3 I have ever mixed here. Tell me what you think. Please be very honest. And don't get distracted with the site...it might look better when I have some time to devote to it. It's been a 5 minute job so far. Just enough to allow the other people in the band to download...
