Last night my 3 year old and I stayed up cleaning our guitar necks with lemon oil (well me, I don't want him touching the lemon oil), and putting on new 10-52's on my strat. What a nice bonding time. He has a little jr strat, and likes to use the string winder. :p

It was $120 for a guitar, strap, and a battery operated amp. I know I got ripped, but you should have sceen the look on My kids face when he saw it it the local music store. :) The strap is to long for him though, any Ideas on how to shorten it?

I want to build a guitar from warmoth, but they only offer bolt on necks, i mean I can get somthing built with all the other options I want. Would a bolt on neck really suck the sustain out of a guitar?

How long does it take to learn the notes on the fretboard? How long should I have practiced before I can close my eyes and randomly pick a string and fret and them open my eyes and say that's an F#? And after this is accomplished what should be my next step?
