The tube amp was making popping sounds and whizzing (up and down oscillating) sounds. I put new tubes in and it seems to have cured the popping, but the whizzing is still there.

He's 34 and never played an intrument. What's a good way to get him started. We're going to get him a cheapy set, Pearl forum or a ludwig starter. I thought it would be good to start him off with more than one cympal though. Thoughts?

it gets this faint frequency squeal that goes up and down. i'm thinking the crackeling could be any tube sockets or connection, but what is the whisltly buzz? Tranny going bad maybe?

Is one worth $249.99 used?

I have one, but it has a cracked neck. Kids knocked it over and stepped on the neck and it cracked in about 3 places.

I just got the new american musical supply catalog, and on page 121 is the Fender EVH 5150 III, for $1,999. The cabs are $1,099. ($3100 for a halfstack) Then on page 126 there are the Peavey 6505's, a whole halfstack for $1799.99 A $1300 difference in price.

At Musicians friend there are reviews of Adobe. I like the fact everyone says it's the easiest to use. But one review has me worried. The guy says that Adobe is great unless you want to do midi tracks. What does he mean?
