Lol. I’ll have to think on that one for a bit. ??‍♂️

    Need feedback (Half Completed Demo)

Not my genre, but pretty well done. Sounds like it could be a sound track for a TV show for when the cops go into a dance club to question the sleazy owner. Keep at it. You're getting your chops and just need to find your own voice. This is a bit derivative imo, but I wish I was this...

    Round and Round

I seem to be becoming the master of the 2-1/2 minute song, lol. Not sure why my songs all end up this short, but it is what it is. This one is actually 2:43, so maybe I'm working my way up to 3:00 minutes. :) Anyway I'd appreciate whatever feedback you'd care to share. Be happy to answer...

    In Dreams - Rock Song

Me too. But a lot like the grundge rock mixes of the 90s. This puts me in mind of that, mix-wise and vocals.

    Dirt Roads - Original

Nice song. Not sure about the synth part. Maybe it needs to grow on me. Kinda reminds me of Moody Blues musically (probably the synth), but not so much vocally. The vocal also reminds me of someone, but it escapes me who at the moment. Nicely done.

    From The Basement

Sounds like you had fun. Not up to other stuff I've heard from you. Seems to be all lows and no highs. Pretty muddy as a result. Also no spread. Everything sounds up the middle. Good musicianship and fun to listen to.

    Opinions please.

Interesting. Not my balliwick, but well done. Sounds 80s-ish. Maybe a Boston or Foreigner influence. I would have brought the vocals in earlier in the beginning. Good job.

Thanks for the input. Yes, they are Roland’s.

Thanks for listening. Glad you liked it. FYI, this is a live drummer. Not sure what's leading you to think it isn't. But it's V-drums (or E-drums?) if that makes a difference. So the "sounds" are software based, but the playing is real.

    Peace Of Mind

Sorry about your friend. Unfortunately we're getting to that age. We lost our lead guitar player a year of so ago. A bit of an odd duck, but a quite tasty player. Condolences. Moving on: Vocals and harmony in this are great! Is this an original? Nice song. Bass seems a bit muddy to me...

Appreciate the comments. I agree about the toms, although it maybe doesn’t bother me as much as you. But they are bouncy, lol. As for the dry vocals, that seems to be my trademark. Every software reverb I’ve ever tried always has on oil drum effect to my ears. As such I tend to back it off...

    Taco Night

Listening on earbuds, so take that into account. I like your vocals, the harmony is stellar. ?? Overall I’m hearing a bit too much high end and not enough bottom. Handclaps are a nice touch. Rhythym guitars might be just a smidge loud in the mix in parts. Good work.

Thanks for checking it out. Guess I’ll have to give some thought about the organ. I have considered that the song is a bit on the short side, so that could help give it some more length. ??

Appreciate the listen and feedback. It‘s in a different key than AATW, but yes similar chord progression in the intro.

Not typical for me to post an original, but here you go. As such. comments on the songwriting as well as the mix etc. would be welcomed.

I need honest opinion - Comparing it with the popular/professional music in general - Updated 7/30/2023

I didn't follow the whole thread. Listened to the version that was posted second. I'm the wrong one to comment on popular music, as my era is 60s and 70s, but it sounds good to my ears. More reverb than I'd like to see, but probably consistent with current trends. Vocalist has a nice voice...

"The Reason" Song - Requesting a feedback

Very nice song. Great lead vocalist. Everything recorded and mixed quite well. My only nit would be to back off on the autotune a little.

    Wheels

Nice song. Well recorded and performed. But I agree with Bulls Hit, it's mixed/mastered a bit too loud. Takes the dynamics completely away.
