Hi
I get irritating clicks when recording with Audiophile running under w2k. My setup:
Cubase SX 1.01:
File/preferences/vst: auto monitoring: manual
Devices/device setup/VST multitrack: M Audio Delta ASIO
Vst performance is always in the green
Input levels are low enough not to cause digital...
Hi,
About a year ago I recorded a song with a friend of mine. I had just started home recording and had neither knowledge nor decent equipment. The result was thus so so.
Now I have a better setup and thought I'd re-record the song. I'd like some input about how to arrange it now that I'm...
Hi,
I've got Cubase 5 running under Win ME with a Soundblaster Live. I manage to load and play back soundfonts ok.
The problem is that whenever I press the stop button on the transport bar (making the time marker jump to the in point) the soundfont is disabled and the general midi sound is...
Hi,
I have Cubase 5 r1 (yes I bought the original, not pirated). It all works great except when I save a song and later try to load it Cubase crashes and give me a error message and quits the application. Any ideas what to do? There doesn't seem to be any new downloads available from steinberg...
Hi
I have recently upgraded to cubase 5 and have a Soundblaster Platinum card. I can't get the soundfonts to work in Cubase. The manuals really SUCK at explaining this. Could anyone help me by explaining what to do step by step?
Thanx
Pedro
Hi,
Being a newbie to all this I was wondering if you know of a place where someone has posted a mp3 version of a song but also a cubase version which I could load into cubase to check out how they used effects, compression etc. I think it would really help to see live examples.
Thanx
Pedro
Hi
Does anyone know of a good book or site (except for this one) that has good tips about arranging (MIDI) music e.g. how to arrange strings, get good drum loops, general organizing a song etc.
Thanks,
Pedro
Hi
I've got a Pentium with soundblaster Live Platinum and have purchased the Alesis M1 Active speakers. I'd like to connect directly from the soundcard to the speakers. In the M1 manual it says that I should only connect line level input to the speakers.
I don't know what the output level...
Hi all,
Please give me your comments about http://www.iuma.com/preview/4soul/ and the song Be Close To You. It's a rough mix but I'd like your comments before doing to much to it.
Thanks
Peter
Hi,
I have a set-up with a Pentium 350 mHz with Soundblaster Live Platinum running Cubase 3.5. I also have a Rode NT-1 and an ART Tube pre-amp.
I am not satisfied with the output volume of the songs I mix in Cubase, it is just too low. How can I get high volume (without clipping)? I have heard...
Hi,
Heres my second try. The set up is the same as last time.
I recorded directly to hard drive (without a preamp) using Cubase Vst 3.5. For noise removal I used Cooledit.
The soundcard is a Soundblaster Live Platinum. The instruments are an electric guitar, the rest are midi-instruments...
Hi,
Im pretty new to this recording stuff. This is my first attempt at recording. I would very much appreciate any feedback which would help me improve.
This is the link (it's rather long, just copy it)...
Hi,
There are quite a number of sites on the web where people who want to buy the same thing make the purchase together in order to bring down the price e.g. www.letsbuyit.com.
Since a lot of us seem to be interested in buying pre-amps, microphones etc maybe we could try to set up something...
Hi,
I have a set-up with a fast computer running Cubase and Cooledit, a soundblaster live platinum soundcard, a Rode NT1 and a Tube MP pre-amp (i.e. no mixer). I mainly record vocals and acoustic guitar but also some electric guitar. I plan to record some violin tracks as well.
I am looking...
Hi,
I am thinking about getting the ART tube pre-amp for connecting to a Rode NT1 (or possibly AKG c3000). An alternative would be to purchase a mixer. Are there any decent low cost mixers with sound of the same quality as the preamp? My budget is 200 USD.
Pedro
Hi,
I have a soundblaster live soundcard and would like to connect the AKG c3000 mic to it directly (i.e. without going through a mixer). (I plan to buy a mixer later, but money is a bit tight now).
Is this possible. From what I know the akg c3000 needs phantom power. Can I buy an external...
