:D
Anyone know of a site and/or "SIMPLE" printed matter that clarifies the mysterious manual that came with my Yamaha ES61 synth?
I can play the patches which is really what I got the keyboard for; however, I sure would like to understand some of those buttons and faders and dials that are...
I would like to upgrade my Korg SP-100.
Looking for an outstanding piano sound plus a few other patches and the usual stuff that comes with an SP, like key shifting, etc.
Suggestions? I'm leaning towards a Yamaha but have not zeroed in on a model yet.
Thanks.

This forum is the closest one that seems to connect to my observation and question.
Recently a member sent me some files which I downloaded on XP Windows. I punched up the CDR/DVD burner the other day and in less than 3 minutes I had burned all three files. The program in XP is called NERO...
Just burned 3 CDs on the 2816 and all came out with nothing but a line buzz.
The CD player showed that the tracks had been burned; however, no sound, no music, no nothing.
I reduced the HD's content. I suspect I may have had the Wave File WRITE enabled -- don't know how that happened...
:D Yo to All:}
Need opinions of my knowledgeable colleagues.
Between the AKG 4000 and the Shure KSM 32, which is best for vocals?
Thanks in advance as I'm sure your expertise will help.

Yo ALL:
Just plugged in and listened to my KRK ST8 passive monitors.
Well, I'll tell you {all}, I loved my Yorkville passives. But, the 8 inch woofer of the KRKs and its newer technology made my Yorks an item of the past.
I know there are many "superior" monitors out there; but, considering...
FYI
I was perusing the pages of the latest EM magazine and they had a promo on the KRK ST8 passive monitors. A fairly succinct review. However, the price listed by EM was 499.00 USD.
I just bought a pair for less than half of that price.
I think that EM zine has kind of lost touch with...
A while back, as a side comment, I said I could not get my Windows 98SE to shut down.
I have made many excusions into the net and found many folks who wanted $$$ and ploys of bug doctors, etc. Yet, my problem did not go away.
I got some suggestions, one of which I loved: "Well, just leave...
Just plugged in a Sony CD D12 player.
Out of sight. Great sound!
The box offers XLR outs, as well as other features that make it an outstanding piece of gear.
Yea, verily, the box isn't a "low" end price; however, I got it for more than 200 pezzutos off the list price. Also found out from a...
I've been doing some research into CD players as I'm poking around for "another" one.
Read some copy that stated this particular CD player would play a CD not yet finalized?
I'm just wondering how it would sound not finalized and what's the point?
Thanks and Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy Spring:
I'm looking at the Numark CDN15 as a possible replacement for my tired Sony.
Have had no experience with Numark gear. Any comments?
Also, any suggestions for a single disc CD player with a digital out?
I'm assuming with a digital out I could run that directly into my 2816...
A little info needed:
Do you like the AKG4000 B as a vocal mic?
Is the AKG a "tube" mic that colors input?
Just returned an AT tube mic because it colored vocal input.
Thanks for anyone who uses this mic for the info.

FYI:
Got one 3060 today; tried it; am sending it back tomorrow.
Very boomy sound, and tinny. Doesn't even come close to the clarity of my AKG mic which I did the comparison with.
Kind of disappointed as the promo on the mic was pretty good. But, then, I'm a victim of advertising.

FYI:
Got one today and am sending it back tomorrow.
Very poor quality sound -- boomy, tinny, not what I expected.
Maybe AT's higher priced mics are better. Don't know.
AKG mic I have used for a long time is five times clearer than the 3060.

FYI:
A friend musician stopped over the other day and we ran an A/B/C test against the Grace 101.
We did the Grace first with my friend playing a few bars on trumpet.
We did the ART dual channel next.
Then, we did a few bars using the mic pre on my 2816.
Results were amazing. The Grace 101...
Review:
The little 101 is a slick-looking box. It has a green LED that illuminates when voice or instrument is piped in and goes to red if overloaded or clipping.
Can bounce in and out of red with no real problem if not sustained.
XLR mic in and out easy access. Input knob goes in clicks...
As a former CORDOVOX player, I've been looking into MIDI accordians.
Anyone know about these boxes? What is needed besides the midi squeeze box? An amp?
They are kind of ambiguous on the net and almost nobody gives prices.
I'm interested because the total weight to carry seems to be much...
I'm putting this post in this forum because it covers the bases of those who mix sounds and voices.
I was watching MIAMI CRIME SCENE the other evening. I could hear and understand all of the actors except the one BLOND with an extreme nasal twang.
I missed about 70% of what she was trying to...
Yo to all:]
I've been looking at some Quiklok speaker stands to buy to raise my monitors up a couple of feet.
The model I'm considering has a 36" max height. But here is what I wonder about.
The monitor is heavy. It sits atop the Quiklok stand. I nudge the stand. The monitor falls and...
