    Just to elaborate. Room ratios and modes are based on HARD boundaries(concrete,triple layer drywall etc..) Domestically bass absorption(damping) is built in being mostly single layer drywall on studs. Work on the 250Hz and up. Better to be done than perfect. G

    Monitoring in the nearfield takes the majority of the room out,so shouldn't have to do a lot. Think wall rug,bookcases,heavy drapes etc... G

    You need traps that work with pressure(high pressure equals zero particle velocity) in the corners. Foam works with particle velocity transferring to heat. G
