I was playing with "Aint talkin 'bout Love" lastnight and it didn't feel quite right with any delay I tried. What's the difference between Delay and Ping-Pong delay? On the CD it sounds like there's some "slap-back", but I wasn't able to duplicate the effect.
In another post I asked about vintage (analog) vs newer "all in one" units. I'll probably stick with a multi unit (cheaper, less space)and take my chances for now. That said...is there anything to be aware of before buying? I was looking at Digitech's RP2000 (lots of effects, 24bit, under $300...
Just bought a Peavey Heritage on Ebay. For a small unit it CRANKS. I'm between mixers right now, so I don't know how it's gonna sound converted to digital.
What are the differences between "vintage" individual stomp boxes (phasers, delay, ect.) and the "Multi Effects" units we're seeing today? I'm lookin' at Digitech's RP2000 because it's being super-ceded by the GNX line and is cheaper now, but I'm also having second thoughts due to some hype I've...
What's an effective $200 mic for cymbals? I see alot of drum "packages" covering bass, snare and toms, but none of these give any attention to the brass.
Anyone know if the Bandit 65 was tube or s.s.? Any feedback on the Deuce? Saw both on Ebay but Peavey website has no imfo on discontinued units.
Thanks
What's a good mic or mic's for use in a smaller room (12X12) to cover giutat amp, acoustic drums and vocals? I've got a couple Samson R11's running through a Behringer 1602 (lookin' to replace with "I don't know what yet") and into a Darla24.
I've seen where some folks around here aren't to fond of Behringer mixers but haven't really said why. I bought a used 1602 with no maual and think I'm going to go on and but something new. Looking through the offerings on ebay I've seen a few that seem impressive (to me anyway). One is a...
I was stuck trying to finish a verse with a word that rhymes with "stupider", and along comes someone in the cave with "Jupiter". What a save, I'll use it!
I don't do much (any) origional music these days, but would like to be able to transfer songs from CD to a track in Ntrack to use as a reference peice. What's a good way to transfer?
Going to try triggers and a processor on a set of Mapex ProM's. Any recomendations on either component? Also, when stuffing the drums to cool the acoustics for this, what works well?
Just loaded Ntrack CD with Darla24, Plll, 256mb and a Maxtor 13gb drive and I'm getting a message that my system won't support multiple tracks with effects active. Damn, what's it gonna take? This hard drive is just 5400 rpm. Am I going to have to bump it up?
So this Dala24 card of mine is digital only I'm told. I though midi was digital. What's the deal? If midi isn't compatible with the Darla directly, is there an anolog to digital remedy?
I'm getting ready to park a Peavy Bandit out in the garage, and am looking at Marshalls cuz they've got a really slick lookin' logo right on the front. I was checking out the VS265 when musician's friend dropped them down to $499. I guess I waited too long...they're all gone and apparently...
I've got my outs from a Darla going to a Denon reciver (for monitoring) and tape monitor outs on the receiver going back into a Behringer 1602 so I can record a reference track from CD using Ntrack. It sounds lousy through the monitors and on the recorded track. I have found that I can paste a...
Just got this Darla24 up and running with Cool Edit Pro that came with the card. Looks a whole bunch different from Powertracks that I had gotten used to. I loaded powertacs only to be told .."no midi drivers on windows". Well, I was able to record and playback with Cool Edit, so what's up with...
I just got this darla24 up and running (only soundcard on computer). Loaded PowerTracks Pro Audio 6 only to be told that there were "no midi drivers in windows". I had also loaded Coll edit pro that came with darla and was able to record and playback without a hitch. I'm familiar with...
Thus far I've been running Power Tracs Pro and a SoundBlaster Live. One mic reduced to 1/8" into SB, line out of SB to my receiver. O.k., for Xmas I wound up with a Darla24, a Behringer 1602, and a 8X burner. My assumption is (lacking set up instructions) that I run 2 outs from the mixer to the...
