I ordered an AT4033. I had doubts because it's not necesarily a "large diaphragm" mic, but reviews from some folks that I trust puished me over the edge. I was tempted to try Nady's (junk brand) tube mic at $399 but got cold feet. I also got the VQ3 pre. I'll post some vox and giutar amp next week.

Musician's Friend took Jackson DK-2s down to $349 plus $30 for transparent amber. 24 frets, double lock clamp, sharkfin inlays and duncans bridge, mid and neck. Yummy! :D
