I have a crazy drum idea, but I need advice

What I find interesting is the layered effect of kick track without the resonate head and a track with a resonate head. Not many times I heard it but i do like it. The difference between the two, the one without the resonate head actually sounds better when recording, However, live, the mic...

Question: Is a 30-watt amp head going into a 2x12 cab good enough for medium-sized gigs?

Thank you. I didn't want to tell anyone about that. Hopefully soon I get some of my eyesight back through surgery. Because I had to find a new doctor and had to go back to the VA and after two years, I finally am in line to have something done. I'm pissed off at a lot of things in the world, but...

Question: Is a 30-watt amp head going into a 2x12 cab good enough for medium-sized gigs?

Well, if I wasn't almost blind I would be and IF there was a job available. Btw, I misread the schematic earlier, but I corrected my statement. This happens when I have get help and have to draw it in my head after someone describes it to me what is on the screen. I apologize that I don't have...

Question: Is a 30-watt amp head going into a 2x12 cab good enough for medium-sized gigs?

Honestly, you need to take some classes, and read more books, because the schematics you provided uses a resistor/cap for negative feedback in the cathode circuit. The output stage of the walkins dominator is a hifi output stage. Usually tertiary winding outputs are usually in rack equipment and...

    Guitar pot question

btw, I book marked that link. I'll go over them thoughtfully eventually. Tube amps are an old thing to me. I went to a specialized college a few decades ago to learn consumer electronics. I just wished I had copied the in classroom textbook they payed Neve to make that went over parts...

Question: Is a 30-watt amp head going into a 2x12 cab good enough for medium-sized gigs?

you still on ignore. I was replying more to post 124 than your nonsense, that I put you on ignore in the first place over. Most .tube amps will have it. Because its the only thing that is keeping them from self-destructing operating tubes way out of their range. Others like the VOX are hifi...

Compensating for one's normal age-related high-frequency hearing loss...

analog recording did that until you got up into neve, amek, and ssl equipment. Because the lower end normally have a slope somewhere between 12-15K and the high end equipment rolled off at 100-200Khz electronically. The API desk was some where in between at around 50Khz, 500 series modules...

Compensating for one's normal age-related high-frequency hearing loss...

I think the hearing loss thing is skewed garbage science. Because everyone's hearing response changes differently for several reasons. Most of the mastering engineers retire around 80 and if age was a factor, then all those engineers wouldn't be 60+ like 3/4 were this past few decades.

    Focusrite 18i20 3rd Gen Issue

Only times I was requested that an xlr should not have phantom power running was one time I had to di a pedal steel that the musician made a non-isolated DI. Other than that, I never had a mic that self destructed by phantom. However, I always find it curious why there is no DC coupled mic...

Question: Is a 30-watt amp head going into a 2x12 cab good enough for medium-sized gigs?

Technically, the VOX AC30 is one of the few that don't have a global negative feedback that other guitar amps misaligned to make it have poor speaker dampening.

    Condensers or Capacitors

The word condenser usually referred to a power capacitor or a capacitor that is primarily charged. But in the instance of the microphone, it has to do with charging the diaphragm.

What's the difference in recording/mixing/mastering between these two different music? Wide and crisp versus smooth and small

Top is hard clipped with pyramix or dangerous music adc and clip recovery makes it bright bottom vid is soft clipped with an apogee which remains neutral.

The plugin scam exposed. Did you fall for it?

Oh it is true, but its not as a bad flaw like FM modulation recording that goes on in a VCR and within a few times you get video mixer noise in the video from copying a copy that was copied. But all flaws accumulate, but compared to tape hiss and a 60 db signal to noise ratio of typical analog...

The plugin scam exposed. Did you fall for it?

I remember making others mad when I point out how much of the degradation came from the analog line stage instead of the converter because the op amps having poorer signal to noise than the converter. There are two places a converter has loss 1. at the AD conversion where there is signal to...

The plugin scam exposed. Did you fall for it?

lol, that is why the operator teacher's answer is 'quality'. I have an electronics degree not a communications degree. I got stuck doing audio engineering like every other sax player did in bar bands. Even though through the years I have met a few of them and even befriended some more famous...

The plugin scam exposed. Did you fall for it?

I can see someone that didn't come from an electronics background not be able to explain Q factor or the ratio loss of filter resonance.

? Tascam FW-1884, am I stuck with a boat anchor.

I could never budget for an alesis24 and when I did it was already off the market. But some of my projects are more than 24 channels and I don't want to go back to stacking tracks. However, Tascam does have a 32 channel I've been looking at from time to time. To me, I really don't need the...

Question: Is a 30-watt amp head going into a 2x12 cab good enough for medium-sized gigs?

What I was referring to is the Marshall using a car radio audio IC output instead of a discrete transistor amp. Filter caps should last thousands of hours. As for box type, I still prefer series wound film and foil instead of parallel stacked construction because over time, the stacked box cap...

? Tascam FW-1884, am I stuck with a boat anchor.

That is what the deal with what I call pro-sumer equipment. This stuff and other firewire interfaces were planned obsolescence. I have a stack of motu that I can't get drivers for and motu don't care. I rethought the way I was setting things up and switched to dante as the digital backbone, then...
