Acoustic guitars. While there is a bit of conventional wisdom, there are SO many variables. for instance I have two Martin Dreads and they sound totally different. And a Breedlove Read that sounds NOTHING like the Martins.

In a general sense, I can spot Strat style guitars (position 2 & 4 type quack) and probable humbuckers but that's about it.

I track to an Alesis HD24. Just hit record and forget about it. I still transfer it to a computer for fuckery.

Tele's are plenty spanky but can growl too. That comes down to the amp. In the Humbucker world, in my experience, BurstBuckers are bright.

Two things. I clock my BRC with a GenX6 so I can operate at 44.1. Second is I have to "prime" a song on the HD24 by arming tracks and recording a second or two FROM THE HD24. After that I can rewind and start recording

Last show I tracked I patched into FOH Midas console via USB. I had to download the drivers but was able to multitrack directly to Reaper.

Reminds me of the style of band I was in about 18 years ago. Similar power pop kinda sound. I actually really like this. It has some pretty good moments. I think it could stand some refining. Over all pretty cool.
