My 1980 Alvaez Yairi DY55 still sounds as great as it did 45 years ago when i bought it. I don't buy into the myth that acoustic guitars sound better as they age simply because the wood has aged for decades.
YMMV
Have you investigated to see if there's a mic activation issue on your laptop?
Edit: Never mind. I see you've managed to record a full 13 hours length of...something... using Audacity.
Is it possible, now that we know that he's using the built--in mic on his laptop, that it's perhaps a "voice/noiselevel" activation situation requiring a threshold adjustment to initiate the "recording" process on his laptop?
A dog not whimpering loudly enough to activate the recorder, but a...
Totally agree.
@Simplex09 Watch the tutorial as many times as neccesary. Lose the effects until you can play it cleanly. Work on your timing.
Then worry about recording and applying effects. ?
I had never heard the song...until this thread.
Thank you for confirming it that being born with only two ears on our heads we all can determine the direction of sounds that reach our 2 ears, side to side, up or down, in front or behind.
When I hear thunder....I look up.?
I have 5 ears. The 5th being on the back of my head. Without it I wouldn't be able to discern that it's the car behind me honking its horn at me telling me that the stop light turned green. ?
No disrespect intended, but I hear lots of stuttering/hesitation at the very beginning which leads me think that you were wearing headphones listening to a tune and attempting to play along with it, but lagging a bit behind.
Is that what you were doing?
In the meantime.....ditch the pedals.
I still use my AW16G with a copious amount of post it notes to remind me of important commands, but it's like riding a bicycle once you ride it enough.
Me either.
Just how old is that laptop?
Warp drive failure?
Time compression set too high?
Just joking around a bit, but Rob's suggestion that available ram and buffering is the problem kinda makes sense.
One more reason that I have never recorded using a 'puter.
