Does anyone know about the Fostex E-2? It's a quarter-inch master recorder with centre timecode. Most importantly, does anyone know if it is a 2 or 3-head design? I would guess that spares are probably a real bitch to get, unless it's possible to mod it to use tascam parts ;)

I've just noticed that ATR's tape site now has actual content. http://www.atrmagnetics.com ..the news itself is not so good, since they appear to be having power issues with the factory site they had chosen. This puts the schedule back. I guess I'll have to try and find some Quantegy...
