Back in the heady days of the start of HomeRec, following the invasion of internet trolls, a branch of home recordists broke from the pack seeking a kinder gentler version where trolls would be less welcome and called that site "Recording Project" - affectional known as "RP" where this remained "HR".

It was a smaller group, but it had talent. The above piece is culled from some of those folks. Emeric Sloan does the lead guitar work on it, and most recently @Trojka added a bass part. If you remember Smart Drums from the old Cakewalk days, Frank Basile, the man behind that organization is the drummer on this piece.

I just moved my studio to a new addition in my house and so I pulled this out in the new space to give it a mix and acclimate my ears to the new sonic environment.

How's it sound to you folks?

Thanks in advance for any/all comments!

Great Song - what’s the vocal treatment? Good drums - but honestly I wanted more high end in them - not sure if that would work with your tune though.

I was listening to the Beatles "Hey Jude" yesterday, and thought "Man those drums sound like they have mufflers on them" - because they have mufflers on them. :D

I found a Waves plugin I didn't know I had called "Vocal Bender" and you can get some pretty wild results with it. I found a preset called "Real ADT" and then lessened it to my liking. It's essentially a micro-detuner. So ultimately the vocal treatment is the lead is detuned cents w/ a really short delay on it - just shy of sounding dry.
